Left releases first list of 16 LS candidates in Bengal, leaves room for talks with Cong

Left Front

Thursday released its first list of

candidates

for 16 of the 42

Lok Sabha seats

in Bengal, featuring 13 nominees from

CPM

and one each from Forward Bloc, RSP and CPI. This leaves 26 seats open for negotiations with Congress and other parties like ISF. The list has 14 new faces, including three women. On possibilities of seat-sharing with Congress, Left Front chairman Biman Bose said: "If Congress wants to have seat adjustments with us, we are not going to say no."
