Koloriang Assembly Election Result 2024: BJP's Pani Taram wins

NEW DELHI: In the state assembly elections of 2024, the Koloriang constituency went to polls on April 19, 2024. Located in the Kurung Kumey district of Arunachal Pradesh, Koloriang constitutes one of the 60 assembly seats in the state, falling under the scheduled Tribe category.
From this constituency, the notable contendants are Pani Taram from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Kahfa Bengia from the People’s Party of Arunachal.
In the 2019 state elections, Lokam Tassar of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious with 5,748 votes, constituting 51.89% of the votes. The runner-up was Pani Taram of the National People’s Party, securing 5,292 votes, accounting for 47.77% of the votes.
In the 2014 state elections, Pani Taram of the People’s Party of Arunachal secured victory with 4,974 votes, capturing 51.22% of the votes. Lokam Tassar of the Indian National Congress was the runner-up with 4,697 votes, securing 48.37% of the votes.
