NEW DELHI: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday announced the inclusion of

Dushmantha Chameera as a replacement for English bowler

Gus Atkinson

in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to a statement from the IPL organisers, Chameera will be joining KKR at a reserve price of Rs 50 lakh.
Having previously been a part of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2018 and 2021 seasons, Chameera represented Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2022 season.

During that season, he showcased his bowling prowess by claiming nine wickets from 12 matches.
Gujarat Giants and RCB name replacements for WPL
