Directed by Jay K, who has previously helmed ‘Ezra’, 'Grrr' has Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. The screenplay and dialogue co-written by Praveen S.

In an earlier interview with ETimes, the director confirmed that the film is an entertainer. He shared that the film is inspired by several instances of people jumping into lion enclosures and some even mauled to death in the country. “Yes. We have heard about many real incidents where people trespassed into wild cat enclosures in many zoos in various parts of the world including India. So that has sort of served as an inspiration for the story,” the director shared.
