Kia Carens: Up to 26 percent lower maintenance cost
According to the research, Kia Carens has emerged as a standout performer in the family mover segment, boasting

maintenance costs

substantially lower than the segment average.

Both petrol and diesel variants of the Carens offer maintenance expenses that are 21 percent and 26 percent lower, respectively. The diesel models, in particular, not only excel in cost efficiency but also feature the

lowest

acquisition cost. The Carens MPV is priced from Rs 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom, and is offered with two engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor.

Kia Seltos: Up to 17 percent lower maintenance cost
Similarly, the Seltos’ petrol variants were found to boast maintenance costs 17 percent lower than the industry average. Additionally, the diesel variants of the Seltos share the lowest maintenance costs with other competitors.
In terms of overall total cost of ownership (TCO), the Seltos secures top positions, with the second-best TCO for its diesel variant and the third-best for its petrol variant.

Under the hood, the new Seltos features the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. Additionally, there's a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. The Kia Seltos is priced from Rs 10.89 lakh, ex-showroom, onwards.
Kia Sonet: Up to 16 percent lower maintenance cost
The Sonet compact SUV, on the other hand, offers both petrol and diesel variants and maintenance costs 16 percent and 14 percent lower than the segment average, respectively.
The Sonet petrol lineup includes a 1.2-litre NA engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 100 hp and 240 Nm. The prices for this model start from Rs 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom, onwards.
