Kartik Tyagi debuted for GT after being named as a replacement for Josh Little in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against CSK on Friday, May 10 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Back in 2020, the 23-year-old Tyagi made his IPL debut for RR against MI at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Super Kings, in the meantime, have strengthened their batting unit by roping in Rachin Ravindra. The New Zealander started his IPL campaign with a couple of thunderous knocks, but lost his way in the middle of the tournament. He has replaced fast bowler Richard Gleeson.

CSK are currently placed fourth in the table with 12 points and a net run rate of +0.700 courtesy of wins in 6 out of 11 matches. If CSK beat GT, they will move to third in the points table.
