The Hoarding collapse in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar has claimed as many as 16 lives. Two bodies that were recovered on Wednesday, May 15, were later identified as Air Traffic Control (ATC) general manager Manoj Chansoria and his wife Anita. They were actor Kartik Aaryan’s relatives.

The actor, who is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Chandu Champion’, attended their funeral on Thursday, May 16, at the Sahar crematorium.

The giant hoarding collapsed in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area on Monday, May 13, due to heavy rain and dust storm. The billboard had collapsed on the Police Ground fuel station along the Eastern Express Highway, killing 16 people and injuring dozens others. The owner of the film that put up the hoarding has been arrested.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is awaiting the release of ‘Chandu Champion’. The film has been directed by Kabir Khan and will be released in theatres on June 14. The trailer will be released in the actor’s hometown in Gwalior.
