Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan found herself under the scanner after netizens accused her of altering an image posted on her Instagram account.
The image in question initially shared on Kareena's Instagram handle, depicted the actress in a stunning black ensemble, posing near a glass door in her house. However, eagle-eyed social media users quickly pointed out discrepancies in the photo. The click, featured subtle distortion which led to the door frame appearing to be curved. The post was quickly taken down by the star, however, not without many fans already posting screenshots on their handles.

Kareena also left out the image in the photo reel shared on her handle. "Buckle Up" she captioned the photo.
The post sparked comparisons to the recent fiasco surrounding the 'photoshop fail' of the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton which gave rise to all sorts of rumours, speculations and conspiracies. Reacting to the edited photo, fans dubbed it as the 'Kate Middleton Effect', a phenomenon that refers to the heightened scrutiny placed on public figures, especially women, regarding their appearances in photographs.
The recent photo edits have sparked discussions surrounding body image, authenticity, and the pressures faced by celebrities in the public eye.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will be seen starring alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon in the upcoming comedy 'Crew'. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan of "Lootcase" fame, is set to be released theatrically on March 29.
Sharing her excitement about the film's theatrical release, Kareena shared at a promotional event, "It feels amazing and I am very excited that after a long time a movie of mine is coming to cinemas. I want everyone to watch it again and again. Everybody already loved the trailer and I am quite sure they are going to be super excited even more once they see (the song)."
Her last theatrical release was 2022's Aamir Khan-starrer 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. She was most recently seen in Sujoy Ghosh's thriller, 'Jaane Jaan', which had a streaming debut.
'Crew' features Kareena, Tabu and Kriti as three air hostesses working for a fictional airline called Kohinoor. With the carrier on the verge of bankruptcy, the trio's future seems uncertain until they find a passenger carrying gold biscuits.
