Incoming storm to bring cloudy skies, rain

NEW YORK (PIX11) --- It was a pleasant end to Memorial Day weekend across the area as temperatures rose back to seasonable levels and the sun was out in full force.

Central Park saw an afternoon high of 73 degrees, which is about average for this time of year. The 70's were plentiful throughout New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, and Connecticut as well. However, some coastal locations stayed in the 60s.

Look for conditions to remain quite mild across the area this evening. Temperatures will drop into the low and mid 60s. A few 50s may be seen north and west of the city. Skies will primarily be partly cloudy. In addition, a stray light shower is possible in northeastern New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, and Connecticut.

Clouds will then increase tomorrow as our next storm system approaches the region. Showers are likely from Wednesday through Thursday morning. Some additional wet weather is possible Friday into Saturday as well.
