IAS officer Supriya Sahu has praised the efforts of forest officials who saved a young elephant's life at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The elephant had been suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, but the dedicated team of forest officials worked tirelessly to nurse it back to health.

Despite the risk of being attacked by the elephant, which was in a weakened state, the team bravely approached the animal and provided it with medical care. Their efforts paid off when the young tusker managed to stand up on its feet again, showing signs of renewed strength.

However, the story didn't end there. After receiving treatment, the elephant regained enough energy to chase after the very same team that had helped it! The ground team is now keeping a close eye on the elephant's movements to ensure its continued recovery. Supriya Sahu took to social media to express her admiration for the entire forest team, including the Vets, FD Mudumalai, DD MTR buffer, and everyone else involved in this remarkable rescue mission.

“Kudos to the team at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve which worked hard to revive an ailing young tusker. The tusker was treated by experienced Vets for exhaustion and dehydration. The young guy could not only get enough strength to stand up on his feet but also chased the treatment team and safely moved back into the forest. The ground team is monitoring the elephant movement. Well done FD Mudumalai, DD MTR buffer, Vets, and the entire forest team,” Sahu wrote.
