How to replace Paytm with Amazon Pay for making payments on Uber

Uber replaces Paytm with Amazon Pay for contact-less payment. Paytm Wallet discontinued after March 15. Users can use existing Paytm Wallet balance for Uber rides post 15 March 2024. and seamless

payment

process for users. Considering Paytm Wallet will be discontinued after March 15, Uber has provided its users with Amazon Pay as the alternative payment method.
It is important to note that users won’t be able to top up their Paytm Wallet after Match 15, as per the RBI’s guidelines.

However, users can still utilise their existing Paytm Wallet balance to pay for Uber rides post 15 March 2024.
How to setup Amazon Pay as the default wallet payment option in Uber

  • Open Uber app and click on ‘Account’ option
  • Go to ‘Wallet/Payment’ option
  • Choose the desired payment method or select ‘Add payment method’
  • Select ‘Amazon Pay Balance’ option
  • This will redirect to Amazon’s website. Login using Amazon login details
  • Top up your Amazon Pay wallet within Uber App
  • Please ensure your Amazon Pay Wallet is active and has sufficient balance before using Uber.

To access Amazon Pay Wallet from the Amazon App follow these steps:

  • Open the Amazon app and go to the “Menu” tab
  • Click on the Amazon Pay tile and select Amazon Pay from the drop down
  • Select “Add Money” option or click on the “Amazon Pay Balance” tile

Once you have accessed your Amazon Pay Wallet, you can follow the directions shown on the screen to “Activate” your Amazon Pay Wallet. If your Amazon Pay Wallet is already active, you can choose to add money or opt for auto reload to maintain Amazon Pay Wallet balance.
