1 year ago 29

On Tuesday, the world got to see the collaboration of

John Abraham

and

Nikkhil Advani

once again after the success of Batla House. In the teaser of their upcoming film

Vedaa

, John is back in his action avatar and giving him company shoulder to shoulder is

Sharvari

who was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2. The high octane teaser has got everyone charged up and talking about it, and many have called action as a genre that Advani is best suited for.
Now we At ETimes noticed something very unique and interesting in the teaser and that was the movie credits portion. It was here that Sharvari’s name appeared first and then John's name. One needs to take into account that the first credits are usually reserved for the biggest names of the project, and John is not only a huge star but is also one of the producers of the film along with

Monisha Advani

, Madhu Bhojwani and

Zee Studios

When we reached out to director Nikkhil Advani for the same, he exclusively told us, "Actually the thought culminated from a conversation that John and I had. The film is called Vedaa and it’s because of her that John’s character is motivated to take her on a journey against the powers of injustice. It just seemed the right thing to do.”
Sharvari plays the role of Vedaa in the film and it is inspired by real events. Sharing the teaser on Instagram Nikkhil Advani wrote , “There is a moment in #Vedaa :𝙰𝙱𝙷𝙸𝙼𝙰𝙽𝚈𝚄

(𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚒𝚖𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏)
Call me an ever hopeful optimist but even I believe that. So when I read the horrific incident that Vedaa is based on, I knew that it had to be told. And tell it so that as many people as possible could see it.

I am so grateful to @thejohnabraham for believing in me and to @sharvari for living this part and this life, without which none of this would be possible.

The film also features Tamannaah Bhatia in a guest appearane role.
