NEW DELHI: The Indian Premier League (IPL) stands out as the most lucrative domestic T20 event globally, drawing top cricketing talent and immense fan engagement. A crucial aspect of the tournament is the
prize money
awarded to teams, recognizing and rewarding their performances.
Over the years, the IPL prize money has increased significantly. In the latest reports, the total prize money for teams stands at INR 46.5 crore, with the champions receiving INR 20 crore and the runners-up taking home INR 13 crore.
Teams finishing in third and fourth place earn INR 7 crore and INR 6.5 crore respectively.
Additionally, individual players are also recognized for their outstanding performances:

Emerging Player of the Tournament
receives Rs. 20 lakh.
- The
Orange Cap
, awarded to the batsman with the highest runs, comes with a cash prize of Rs. 15 lakh.
