Mumbai: Observing that it found nothing prejudicial to the prosecution or the trial, Bombay HC on Thursday dismissed
CBI
's petition to
stay
the
release
of a
docu-series
on
Indrani Mukerjea
, accused of killing her daughter Sheena Bora, till
trial
in the case ends.
"For reasons separately recorded, the petition is dismissed," said Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Manjusha Deshpande.
Streaming service Netflix thereafter aired the four-episode series titled 'The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth'. Indrani is prime accused in her daughter Sheena's death. CBI moved HC after a special court rejected its plea. Its petition said the series could influence witnesses.
