How can Modi 3.0 tackle security challenges in Jammu, Manipur? Expert speaks
As the newly-elected Narendra Modi government faces a challenging situation in Manipur and Jammu, Lieutenant General KGS Dhillon (Retd) on Monday spoke exclusively to India Today TV's Shiv Aroor, shedding light on both challenges. Speaking on the recent attack in Jammu's Poonch and Rajouri, former GOC Chinar Core said that Pakistan is behind the recent trouble in Jammu. "They (Pakistan) found Kashmir to be an easy hunting ground for the last three-and-a-half decades. Now that after 5th of August 2019, they found Kashmir is becoming more and more difficult to operate from the Pakistani point of view... Aim is to keep Jammu and Kashmir in the international news..." Lt Gen Dhillon said. Speaking on the changing situation in Manipur violence, Lt Gen Dhillon said, "... What's happening in Manipur is not new... Military solution is not the way forward," he said.
