'Titanic' music composer Hans Zimmer is in talks with the makers to come on board for Nitesh Tiwari’s 'Ramayana'. If the development works out, it would take the film on a whole new global scale. It would also mark Zimmer's foray into Indian films. AR Rahman too, is expected to work in a few songs for the film.
IndiaToday.in has learnt a new update about Nitesh Tiwari’s 'Ramayana'. The film might get two new names - 'Titanic' music composer Hans Zimmer is in talks with Nitesh Tiwari to come on board for the music score of the film. AR Rahman, too, is speculated to compose a few tracks for the Ranbir Kapoor-Sai Pallavi film. If the development works out, 'Ramayana' will be Hans Zimmer’s first foray in Bollywood.
A few days back, IndiaToday.in learnt that 'Ramayana' has finally gone on the floors. Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram in the film, will join the shoot soon. The shoot began with a pooja ceremony.
The shoot has commenced with secondary artists. Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, is yet to join the crew. Sources informed IndiaToday.in that Ranbir will join the crew in the next few days. Sai Pallavi will play Sita in the film.
A few days back, we learnt that Tiwari created a separate team for the diction and dialogue department of ‘Ramayana’. Apart from diction, there is also a special emphasis on the costume and how the main characters in the film will look. Sources revealed that Tiwari put Ranbir Kapoor on to a diction expert to make sure his dialogue delivery is aligned with his vision for the film.
Ranbir is geared to play the role of a lifetime and has been spending hours reading dialogues and sending videos to Tiwari. Sources added that the mounting of the film is on a massive scale and the VFX and special effects will be on an international level. Our source revealed, “Ranbir has a certain baritone and a way of speaking his lines. It is symbolic and if you have even closed your eyes, you can recognise a dialogue purely based on Ranbir’s voice. In ‘Ramayana’, Nitesh wants to make sure Ranbir sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. Being a versatile actor, Ranbir is enjoying this process of trying something new.”
Other than this, Kubbra Sait had auditioned to play Ravana’s sister, Surpanakha, in the film. There is no information on any further developments in the matter.
