's upcoming film 'Rebel' directed by debutant Nikesh is gearing up for release soon. With the film, which is said to be about a
rebel
student in Munnar in the 1980s, all set to hit the screens on March 22, 2024, the makers have released the trailer of the film.
The film which has Mollywood actress
Mamitha Baiju
making her debut as a female lead will be an action drama, with a little bit of politics.
Releasing the trailer of the film, actor Dhanush wrote, "Best wishes to dearest @gvprakash and team Rebel. In theatres from march 22nd.."
The film has been cleared by Censor Board with an U/A certificate. The film cast includes Venkitesh VP, Shalu Rahim, Karunas, Adhithya Baskar, Kalloori Vinoth and Subramaniya Siva among others.
The film is said to be about the story of a man who fought for Tamil and lost his life. The film will also have a non-linear screenplay and will feature stories of the people in Munnar. Interestingly, GV Prakash has also scored the music and the technical team includes cinematography by Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan and editing by Leo John Paul.
