A team of Delhi Police officials have visited the sets of the popular TV show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' (TMKOC) in connection with the alleged "kidnapping case" filed after one of its actors, Gurucharan Singh, went missing.

Singh, who was loved by his fans in the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi, has been missing since April 22.

The Delhi Police registered a case under section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), pertaining to kidnapping, in the matter after receiving a complaint by the family. Earlier on April 27, CCTV footage showed that Singh was in Delhi's Palam area at 9.14 pm on April 22, after which he went missing.

According to reports, many TMKOC actors were in touch with him. To find hints of the actor’s whereabouts, Delhi Police visited the sets of the show.

Sohil Ramani, who is associated with the show, confirmed the visit of Delhi Police sleuths while speaking to the media.

"As a part of their investigation, Delhi police had visited our set. They went back assured that there were no dues from our end towards Gurucharan. We continue to pray for his well-being and hope he is found soon," he said.

Gurucharan Singh, who became a household name after portraying the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the longest-running sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, was scheduled to catch a flight from Delhi to Mumbai at 8:30 pm on April 22nd.

However, he never arrived at Mumbai airport, nor did he return home. His phone has also been switched off since then.

The actor's father filed a police complaint, and a case under section 365 (kidnapping) was registered. The police are investigating the matter.
