NEW DELHI: Gurgaon is one of the 10 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Haryana. It is a General category parliament seat. It comprises of entire Gurgaon district and entire Mewat district and part of Rewari district.
According to the 2011 census, Gurgaon has a population of 1,514,432 out of which male are 470,504 and female are 400,035. Average literacy rate was 84.70.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Gurgaon will be held on 25th May (Phase 6).
The counting of votes will be on June 4.
Candidates:
BJP has once again chosen Rao Inderjit as their candidate for the Gurgaon Lok Sabha seat. In contrast, the Congress party has selected veteran actor and prominent party member Raj Babbar to contest the election.
Main parties:
Initially, 26 candidates had filed their nominations for the Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency. However, on the final day for withdrawing nominations, three candidates decided to opt out of the race, leaving a total of 23 contenders vying for the seat. Among those who withdrew were Rahul Yadav, also known as Fazilpuria, a popular singer-rapper who had been nominated by the Jannayak Janta Party, along with Vijay Kumar from the Bahujan Samaj Party and Sohrab Khan from the Indian National Lok Dal.
In the 2019 General Assembly elections, Rao Inderjit Singh of BJP won with 881,546 votes. He defeated INC's Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav, who got 4,95,290 votes.
