LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (PIX11) -- Several people are accused of punching and throwing bikes at NYPD officers who found a group of kids out by themselves in the middle of the night in Queens, authorities said.

The cops found the three unattended kids around riding bikes outside a hotel in Long Island City at around 4 a.m. Monday and asked them what they were doing out so late, police said. The officers then escorted the children back to their home at  38-70 12th St. and found a group of adults hanging out outside.

The cops told them the kids should not be out that late by themselves before the conversation escalated, police said. Three men and a woman who appeared to be intoxicated then began pushing and shoving them, according to sources.

Chiluisa, 23, Juan Munoz, 25, Alejandro Munoz, 42, and Karina Navarro-Chavez, 42, were arrested and charged with assault, attempted gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest, police said.

Juan Munoz, Alejandro Munoz, and Navarro-Chavez were also charged with
endangering the welfare of a child. Chiluisa was also charged with escape, prosecutors said.

The suspects were arraigned Tuesday.

Police are searching for another two suspects in connection to the incident. The NYPD released photos of the man and woman who remain at large.
