have arrested four out of eight members of a gang who recently robbed a courier company's van on

Mumbai-Nashik highway

by pretending to be a police team in a film style. The robbers had stolen cash of Rs 5.40 crore from van. Following incident, the Shahapur police have arrested four accused in this case.
The police sources said complainant Tanajirao Thorat is resident of Jalgaon District and he is employed in Skyking Courier service in Jalgaon.

Through this courier can they transport cash from Jalgaon to businessman in Mumbai.
The police sources said recently on March 15, Thorat with two more staff Kailash Lohar and Sachin Sode from Jalgaon as usual to deliver cash in Mumbai was travelling into van.
Police said when car reaches Atgaon on Mumbai-Nashik highway after crossing Igatpuri, a gang of eight person who followed them into Innova car stopped their van.

The robbers pretending as policemen asked them to check van and upon finding cash said they will have to go to jail since carrying cash is crime.
The robbers later showing all cash of Rs 5.40 crore seized taken all cash into their Innova van and fled towards Nashik side.
After the incident, the complainant first inform about incident to their Mumbai based office who than approached to local Mumbai based LTT marg police station however since incident happened under Shahapur police station jurisdiction they asked them to approach complainant their.
Finally on March 17, Shahapur police registered offence and taking serious note of incident several teams were formed by Thane Rural police who finally on Thursday managed to nab four robbers involved into the case.
Maruti Jagtap, In-Charge of Shahapur police station said, "In this case many accused are involved and some of them has been arrested while few more are likely to be nabbed soon".
