JAIPUR: The race for the
Rajasthan Cricket Association
’s (
RCA
) new president got a new entrant in the form of
Parakram Singh
after
Churu District Cricket Association
(DCA) declared its election results on Tuesday. He is the son of former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Singh Rathore, who represented BJP from Churu.
The other name which is doing the rounds is that of the state health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar’s son Dhananjai, who is the president of Nagaur District Cricket Association.
The highly anticipated change in regime of RCA is likely to take place after the Lok Sabha elections, slated to be held in April-May.
“I am thankful to everyone who has supported me. I promise that I will work for the development of cricket and growth of the players in the district. I will ensure that the tournaments are regularly organised and the best equipment is provided to the players,” Parakram wrote on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the Churu DCA will have Sushil Sharma as the secretary and Deendayal Sharma as the treasurer. Raghunandan Sharma, Manoj Gadhwal and Kamal Kishore Pujari have been given the post of vice-presidents.
RCA vice-president Shakti Singh Rathore was one of the two observers of the election.
