Free mental health programs for NYC first responder’s children thanks to nonprofit

NEW YORK (PIX11)—Kristina Moon and Jillian Crane have a special connection.

An FDNY widow and mother of two, Moon says that after the loss of her husband, Billy Moon, she found a friend and support from the First Responders Children's Foundation. The First Responders Children’s Foundation is a non-profit that provides financial support and scholarships to our heroes’ children. 

More Local News

They have a program called the Mental Health Resiliency program, focusing on the mental health of children of first responders. 

They help young people between 4-25 years old.

It’s one-on-one free counseling endorsed by the NYPD and FDNY.
