TIRUPATI: Former finance minister
Anam Ramanarayana Reddy
intensifies his poll campaign at the Atmakur assembly constituency in Nellore district with just ten days left for the polling day.
While Anam is representing the
TDP
, the ruling
YSRCP
has re-fielded sitting MLA
Mekapati Vikram Reddy
at the Atmakur assembly constituency for the upcoming elections.
During his interactions with the voters at Kollapanaidu palle in Chejerla mandal on Friday, Anam drew the people's attention to the failure of the YSRCP govt on all fronts in the last five years.
"The YSRCP govt has unleashed anarchy and fear among the people and unfortunately development has taken a complete backseat even at the Atmakur assembly constituency in the last five years in particular", Anam Ramanarayana Reddy lamented.
"The
Somasila high level canal
works haven't been completed. There is widespread unemployment everywhere in the constituency and youngsters are forced to migrate to other regions in search of work. The sitting MLA Mekapati Vikram Reddy has failed to pressurize the govt and get lion's share in terms of allocation of development projects to the constituency", the ex finance minister underlined.
Explaining about the necessity to vote for the TDP to bring back development to the state, Anam appealed to the people of Atmakur to recollect the development witnessed by the Atmakur assembly during his tenure as an MLA between 2009-2014.
Anam Ramanarayana Reddy promised to the farmers of the constituency that the Somasila high level canal works will be taken up on a priority basis once the TDP comes back to power in the state within two months from now.
