Hrithik Roshan
,
Deepika Padukone
starrer '
Fighter
' has crossed its fourth weekend and yet it had a decent hold at the
box office
. The film had a slow start barring a good Republic Day collection and didn't meet expectations and the benchmark set by 'Pathaan' or 'Jawan'. However, slowly and steadily it kept holding steady at the box office. The trade only hoped, it had started on a better note to have eventually ended up at a much bigger number.
'Fighter' has crossed Rs 200 crore at the box office on its day 24.
And now post day 25, the total collection of the film so far in India, as per Sacnilk.com is around Rs 206.3 crore. It made approximately Rs 4.5 crore on its fourth Saturday-Sunday combined. This just goes on to stay that 'Fighter' has enjoyed a good run at multiplexes but not in mass centres. While crossing the 200-crore mark is considered great, the film was also made on a big budget hence, some more numbers were expected.
However, it is the highest grossing film so far, this year and it looks like it shall remain so, till April or May as there is no major big release till then. Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, 'Fighter' has crossed Rs 330 crore. The trade believes that investing masses into the film is important so that it could have scored a lot higher.
At the moment, another film which is running parallely to 'Fighter' is 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'. The Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon
starrer
is also enjoying a decent run at the box office and has the 50 crore mark at the domestic box office.
