Reservation activist
Manoj Jarange on Friday levelled a fresh set of allegations against Maharashtra deputy chief minister and home minister
Devendra Fadnavis
saying the leader was framing him in cases to extern him.
The activist made the statement after attending Harinam Saptah in Charata, a remote village in Beed district, on Friday morning.
"The home minister should not hold such a grudge against us. Last night, when I was in Sambhajinagar, I learnt he intends to register another 10 to 15 cases against me and use it to get me externed. He should dream less. My externment or making my videos viral is not going to help them. He should realise that Marathas are already against them and other communities are following suit," said Jarange
He said that on March 24, during a meeting with community members at Antarwali Sarati, he would expose the state govt by making some revelations. He said so much anger against him and Marathas was not good.
"Registration of cases against me and Marathas is nothing but a deep rancour against our community. At the end of the day, the chief minister and deputy chief ministers are orchestrating all this. They do not realise they are going wrong. Imagine about one lakh people gathering at a place like Parli. The people in power should take a sensible stand. The resentment will not benefit them," he said.
Speaking about the attack on Congress LS candidate Praniti Shinde's car in Pandharpur on Thursday, Jarange said he was not aware of the reasons that led to the incident or who was involved and why. "One thing is certain. We do not support violence. Also, mere presence of a Maratha community member during any incident should not be connected with the Maratha reservation movement."
