She adds, “The haldi ceremony, a symbol of purity, became a ceremonial cleansing. The sangeet and cocktail events captured the blend of our beliefs and emotions. Our families spent numerous hours rehearsing parodies of songs that narrated our nine-year love story, taking us on a nostalgic journey down memory lane.”

A month before the wedding, while sharing details about her big day, Sonarika, who has also been part of shows like

and Ishq Mein Marjawan, told us, “There will be a total of five functions, starting with Mata Ki Chowki in Mumbai, 15 days before their big day on February 18. The mehndi ceremony will take place on February 16. The haldi ceremony will be performed the next day, and in the evening, we will host a cocktail party-cum-sangeet.”
The actress also told us that a reception party post-wedding would be hosted in Vikas’s hometown Faridabad, Haryana. She told us, “Vikas and his family are known to almost half the town, and since it’s not feasible to accommodate so many people at the wedding, we have planned a reception in Faridabad.”

Sonarika met Vikas, who happened to be her brother’s friend, at a gym, and things just took off from there. She told us, “I was certain from the beginning that I didn’t want to be with an actor because having one partner outside the industry balances it out. He keeps me grounded and has been my biggest cheerleader. I just know that he loves me unconditionally.”
