Exclusive: Dabangii Mulgi Aayi Re Aayi's Rrahul Sudhir on not having work after Ishq Mein Marjawaan, says 'I wouldn't have struggled this much on my first day in Mumbai'

Rrahul Sudhir is known for his stellar acting chops, currently, the actor is winning hearts with Dabangii Mulgi Aayi Re Aayi. In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, the actor got candid about not having work post his hit stint as Vansh in Ishq Mein Marjawaan, Rrahul opened up about his struggling phase and more.
When asked about the long break post Ishq Mein Marjawaan, Rrahul shared, "I just struggled to find work. I know it is the most astonishing thing to say but it is true. I did not get work after Ishq Mein Marjawaan. I think the actors who were working with me and even my peers managed to get work. I was the only one who didn't, I even wondered that kuch problem ho gayi kya? Where have I gone wrong? I have struggled, you have no idea, I wouldn't have struggled this much on my first day in Mumbai how much I did in these 2-3 years."

Talking about the project he was looking forward to but didn't happen, "There was Zakhm 2, one thing I was looking forward to. I had even prepared for 3-4 months for the character and unfortunately, it got scrapped."

Rrahul on facing difficulties in finding work, "I have been through hell and back from it again. I am prepared and willing to go back again. The last few years have been like, it's okay. Today I am completely ok, I am ok without money or work, I am ok if people think I am a bad actor, I am ok with everything. There is no sense of expectations in my life now, like people don't appreciate me like they used to before, I am happy with that also and this also now."

On dealing with mental health during the struggling phase, Rrahul quipped, "I don't think I figured out what was happening to me. It was later that I figured that I was getting rejected, where I was locked things didn't work out or there were last-minute replacements. It just kept happening one after the other, by the time I realised it felt like oh, a lot has happened in these few years. I never had the mental perception to understand what was happening at that time."

Rrahul Sudhir, known for his role in Dabangii – Mulgii Aayi Re Aayi, recently had a release named Angithee with intimate scenes. He finds such scenes boring and believes they should only be included if necessary. He had no discomfort filming them with Shafaq Naaz.
