Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor
Barun Sobti
recently attended a
queer film festival
. While exclusively talking to
ETimes TV
, Barun shared his take on Queer
content
that has been made across the entertainment industry. Be the platform be
TV
,
OTT
or
Films
. He also shared his experience of being on the
jury
at the film festival and more.
Talking about queer content across TV, OTT and Films, Barun said, "I don't see bad content, I only see content that I have heard good things about.
That is one of the reasons why I have watched content that is projected well. However, there may be some content that has those loopholes. But all of the content that I have watched is amazing. Even the
Indian films
are so good."
Talking about the content and transition into TV and OTT, Barun shared, "We are human beings and we are trained by our experiences. When a dog bites us we tend to get scared of them. So in that respect, my choices have worked in being light by people. I can't think like I should do this because someone is going to like this. I believe in my choices and I am still switching
genres
."
He also got candid about his upcoming lineup of projects where Barun will be seen in different genres, "The next show that I have done is an outrageous story of three friends about parenting, a comic show. I have done a period drama on dacoits, another one is coming of age and how the political system and social media are kind of together. I am trying my best, I just hope that I keep screening because my success is going to mean that people keep liking the stuff that I do."
