Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hit out at the Congress party and said even listening to Hanuman Chalisa has become a crime under the party's regime. The Prime Minister's remarks came while he was addressing a poll rally in Rajasthan's Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

PM Modi also said the Congress banned the Ram Navami celebrations in Rajasthan.

"Under the rule of Congress, even listening to Hanuman Chalisa becomes a crime. Rajasthan has been its sufferer. For the first time on Ram Navami this time, Shobha Yatra procession was taken out in Rajasthan," PM Modi said.

"In a state like Rajasthan where people chant Ram-Ram, Congress banned Ram Navami," he added.

"Two days ago, I exposed Congress's appeasement politics. Now, the agitated Congress and the INDI Alliance are abusing Modi. They are hatching a deep conspiracy to snatch your property, and distribute it among selected people," PM Modi said.
