England faced a significant setback as spinner Rehan Ahmed is returning home due to personal reasons, marking his absence for the remainder of the ongoing Test series against India.

"Rehan Ahmed will return home for personal reasons with immediate effect from England Men's Test tour of India. He will not be returning to India," ECB said in a statement. "England will not be replacing Ahmed for the rest of the tour," the statement added.
