Drone footage shows flooded streets in Imphal due to Cyclone Remal

Continuous rainfall from Cyclone Remal has led to extensive flooding in multiple districts of Manipur, prompting the state government to start active rescue and relief efforts. 

In response to severe flooding from breached riverbanks, the government announced a two-day public holiday for all state offices until May 31. Citizens are advised to stay indoors unless in an emergency, as per a government directive.

Essential service departments, including home, police, disaster management, power, health, district administration, and water resources, will remain operational, the directive stated.
