Draymond Green Issues Public Apology After 'Coward' Move

4 hours ago 5

Draymond Green had another disappointing evening on Monday as the Golden State Warriors suffered a deflating 117-110 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Chase Center.

Green finished with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting, seven rebounds, two assists and two triples in 34 minutes of action, which clearly wasn't enough to help the Warriors overcome Minnesota.

Green spoke to reporters after the game, and the first order of business for the former Defensive Player of the Year was an apology for his decision not to speak to the media after their Game 3 loss on Saturday.

"Before I start, I want to apologize to y'all," he said. "I didn't talk the other day. I was quite a bit frustrated and very careful. I didn't want to get myself fined, but more so, say something to make it sound like an excuse when you struggle and lose.

"And I didn't come up here and talk, and I felt like a coward when I got home. So I wanted to apologize to y'all for that."

Green showed remorse for his actions, and he made sure to be more gracious on Monday after yet another loss.

Be that as it may, the fact of the matter is that Golden State is now down 3-1 in their second-round NBA playoffs series against the Wolves. They are now just one loss away from their season coming to an end, and it appears that Steph Curry, who is dealing with a troubling hamstring injury, still won't be able to suit up for Game 5 on Wednesday.

With or without Curry, Green will need to turn back the clock and come out with a vintage performance in Game 5 to give Golden State an opportunity to fight another day.
