cremated

with full

state honours

at 11 am on May 13 (Monday) at

Model Town Extension Cremation Ground

, Ludhiana.

Commissioner of Police Kuldeep Singh Chahal

on Saturday visited the residence of Padam Shri and eminent poet Dr Surjit Patar to express their condolences with his family.

Acclaimed Punjabi writer and poet Surjit Patar had passed away at the age of 80 due to a suspected heart attack at his residence in Asha Puri, Ludhiana today morning.
Dr. Patar is survived by his wife Bhupinder Kaur and two sons, Ankur Singh Patar and Manraj Singh Patar.
