France manager Didier Deschamps wants his side to have a productive UEFA Euro 2024 campaign, as he eyes his 100th win in his side's campaign opener against Austria on June 18. Deschamps clearly explained that France's soul focus in Euro 2024 will be to extend their pride and show the European football world what the side is capable of. Since being roped in as the Les Blues manager back in 2012, Deschamps has brought immense success to the national side in the recent past, which includes a FIFA World Cup in 2018 and a runners-up medal in the 2022 edition of the competition.
While France would be looking to bury the memories of their Euro 2021 campaign, which saw them get knocked out in the Round of 16 stage by Denmark via penalties, Deschamps's composed and calm managerial style will be expected to be key to those plans. The 55-year-old is already the most experienced coach amongst all others at Euro 2024, which only adds to his reputation from his playing days for the Les Blues. The Austria clash will see the France manager featuring in his 154th game in charge of the national side, and he will be eyeing his 100th win in his tenure.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Deschamps explained how France will walk into Euro 2024 with a clear intent to win and how he knows about the planning that must go behind that intent.
"What keeps me going is the passion, the desire and the determination. What interests me is always having new objectives...At a very high international level, winning is very difficult and maintaining it is even more difficult, because only one team wins and then the others don't sleep," Deschamps said.

"The objective is around the French national team in terms of what we've achieved and what we're capable of achieving," Deschamps added.
While the French team has now entered into a new era under their new skipper, Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid forward will be hoping to make the best use of the guidance from Deschamps.
