Delhi University 100th convocation: Security features on degrees, coloured stoles

The University of Delhi will hold its 100th convocation ceremony on February 24, 2024. The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, will attend the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Delhi University will hold its 100th convocation ceremony on February 24, 2024. The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar, will be present as the chief guest of the ceremony. As per the information, 1.38 lakh Undergraduate and Postgraduate students will receive their degrees.

The Vice President has informed that the postgraduate students will wear stoles of Turquoise colour with a golden border with the university and Shatabdi logo on both sides. The undergraduate students will wear a yellow-coloured stole that will have a golden border with the university logo and Shatabdi logo on both sides.

Further, PhD students of Delhi University will wear a red coloured stole that will have a golden border with the university and Shatabdi logo on both sides.

The Vice President further added that the officers would wear a purple-coloured stole, while the principals would wear a maroon-coloured stole.

SECURITY FEATURES ON DELHI UNIVERSITY DEGREES

The University of Delhi will award degrees to students that will have security features like the ones on the Indian currency notes. Professor Yogesh Singh said that the degree will have 17 different security features, like currency notes, due to which it will not be easy to copy them.

Further, for the first time, the degrees will have the names of mothers printed on them. And colored photos of students will also be printed on the degrees.
