BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A dead fetus was found near a Brooklyn apartment Thursday evening, police said.
A woman walking called 911 to report what appeared to be a baby or a fetus on Union Street at around 5:30 p.m., police sources said.
A 4-month-old fetus was found unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services were called and pronounced the fetus dead at the scene, police said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York will determine the cause of death. An investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
