Dead body of missing kid found packed in suitcase in car’s boot in Ambala

Ambala:

The police have recovered the

dead body

of a 13-year-old boy packed in a

suitcase

, who was missing for three days since Wednesday evening in Parao area of Ambala Cantonment.
The body of Gaurav of Himmatpura, Ambala Cantonment was found hidden in a

car’s boot

in Dudhla Mandi area of Ambala Cantonment.
As per the information, Gaurav’s father who works in railways had received a ransom letter, which was produced to him by his neighbour, a suspect in this case.

On the complaint of Gaurav’s father Devi Sahai, the Ambala police had registered a missing case under Section 346 (wrongful confinement in secret) of the IPC at Parao police station on March 3.

In his complaint, Devi had said that on Wednesday evening Gaurav went out of home without informing and they searched for him everywhere but could not find him. The boy studied in Class IX.
Following the case, the police started the investigation and received information about the recovery of a body in the Dudhla Mandi area. Upon identification, the body was found to be of Gaurav.
Some local residents said that the car was found parked in the Dudhla Mandi area on Friday at about 9 am and it smelled bad.

Ambala Cantonment DSP Rajat Gulia said, “Car owner was contacted by people. When they checked after opening the car, they found a dead body packed in a suitcase in its boot. The police were called and we started the investigation.”
DSP Rajat, Parao SHO inspector Dalip Kumar and the forensics team reached the spot and collected the evidence.
DSP Rajat said, “Charge of murder has been added to the missing case. We are questioning a suspect in this case, a neighbour, who had produced a ransom letter to Gaurav’s father, claiming that somebody left it on his motorcycle outside. The reason behind the crime is being established. We have checked CCTV cameras in the area from where the body was found and the CIA team is also deputed for the investigation. We hope to arrest the accused person soon.”
