DC captain Rishabh Pant took to his Instagram account to share a video where he thanked his and the franchise's fanbase for their support throughout the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 season. The video shows a compilation of Pant's return to action in the ongoing season, which also includes his interaction with fans at both their home venues of this season - Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi and the ACA-VDCA stadium in Visakhapatnam. DC's bleak hopes of qualifying for the ongoing season's playoffs received a shimmer of hope after their win against the LSG by 19 runs on May 14.
Pant returning to play cricket in IPL 2024, after 14 months of rehabilitation due to his horror car accident in December 2022, has been one of the biggest highlights of the season. Cricket fans and former greats alike have shown immense praise for the DC captain's emphatic return to form with each game throughout the season. The 26-year-old went on to score 446 runs in his 13 matches this IPL season. Pant's batting brilliance in IPL 2024 also saw him get selected in India's main 15-man squad for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup as one of their two wicketkeeping choices.
