Cowboys Ex Greg Hardy Blames 'Chaos Machines' After Latest Arrest originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Former Dallas Cowboys and NFL standout Greg Hardy is in light of another domestic violence charge insisting that his family is "perfectly fine" and that "chaos machines" are to blame.
Hardy, 36, was charged in DFW with assault causing bodily injury to a family member last Wednesday, according to an affidavit obtained by various media outlets.
His response now, as shared on an Instagram Story?
“My family and I are all perfectly fine,” Hardy said. “Please stop spreading lies and rumors and give our family the time and space to work through it all in private.”
Hardy posted the statement along with a photo of a woman and two children and continued on.
“Things get emotional but has never and will never be what you clowns are trying to spread,” he said. “I ask with all my heart please, My family and I are all perfectly fine. Please stop spreading lies and rumors and give our family the time and space to work through it all in private.”
The affidavit reports that Hardy's girlfriend called police after she was allegedly attacked by him.
Officers at the scene described scratches and redness on the alleged victim that they said were "consistent with a physical altercation,” one outlet noted.
Hardy has a criminal history that does include domestic violence allegations that contributed to the premature end of his NFL career.
As a member of Carolina Panthers, he was arrested in 2014 for allegedly attacking his girlfriend at the time. He was signed by Dallas and served a 10-game suspension before playing for the team in 2015.
Hardy was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft and was selected as an All-Pro and Pro Bowler in 2013.
Hardy in recent years moved into competition as a fighter in MMA and UFC.
