Couple mug victim inside Queens subway station: NYPD

ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) -- A 45-year-old man was attacked and robbed inside a Queens subway station Thursday night, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened at the Woodhaven train station at Queens Boulevard and Woodhaven Boulevard around 9:15 p.m.

Police report that an unidentified man and woman approached the victim from behind. The woman first asked the victim for money, after which the man punched the victim in the back and shoulder.

The suspects reportedly stole $1,500 from the victim and ran away, police say.

The male suspect was last seen wearing a light gray sweatshirt and sweatpants. The female suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and light blue Crocs. The NYPD released the following surveillance photos of the suspects.
