Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the simultaneous assembly and
Lok Sabha
elections in the state,
Congress
on Tuesday released a 'chargesheet' on alleged failures of the
BJD govt
in
Odisha
and BJP-led NDA dispensation at the
Centre
.
The chargesheet featured allegations like discrimination of Odias in Odisha, politics over
Lord Jagannath
, corruption, job scarcity, poor healthcare, worsening law and order and others.
"Both BJD and BJP govts are anti-people," chairperson of campaign committee of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee, Bijay Patnaik, said.
Responding to the charges, BJP said Odisha has received the maximum benefits from the Narendra Modi govt in the last 10 years.
BJD described the Congress charges as false, baseless and a political gimmick. "
Naveen Patnaik
has been able to give a stable govt in Odisha since 2000 only because of his development and welfare agenda," a senior BJD legislator said.
