Congress releases 'Black Paper' to counter Centre's 'White Paper'

NEW DELHI: The

Congress

on Thursday released '

Black Paper

' in response to the 'White Paper' set to be brought by the central government in the ongoing budget session of Parliament.
Addressing a press briefing, Congress party chief Mallikarjun Kharge said the 'Black Paper' highlights 'failures' of government on

unemployment

,

price rise

,

farmers' distress

.
"We are raising the main issue of unemployment, which the BJP never talks about. There is discrimination being done with non-BJP states like Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana...," Kharge said.
The central government had earlier announced in the union budget presented on February 1 that it will come out with a 'White Paper' to compare the economic performance of 10 years of the Congress-led UPA government with that of 10 years of the BJP-led NDA government.
