constituency. Chowkham comprises the district of Namsa.
It falls under the Arunachal East Lok Sabha constituency and is reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
The assembly seat went into polling on 19th April.
2019 Assembly Election Result:

In the 2019 Chowkham Assembly election, Chowna Mein of the BJP secured a resounding victory, garnering 8,908 votes, which accounted for an impressive 82.03% of the total votes polled.

Mein's victory was marked by a substantial margin of 7,291 votes, constituting a commanding 67.14% lead over his closest competitor. The

(INC) candidate, Khunang Kri, managed to secure 1,617 votes, representing 14.89% of the total votes cast. With this outcome, Chowna Mein emerged triumphant as the clear winner in the Chowkham constituency.

2014 Assembly Election Result:
In the 2014 Chowkham Assembly election, Chow Tewa Mein from the INC emerged as the winner with 5,578 votes. The BJP candidate, Sotai Kri, secured the position of runner-up with 2,684 votes.
