JAMMU:

BSF

troops opened fire to shoot down a

Pakistani drone

hovering close to the international border in Ramgarh sector of J&K’s

Samba

around Friday midnight, but it retreated.
"A search operation is underway to ascertain if the drone dropped weapons and drugs," sources said.
Pakistani agencies have been using drones for dropping weapons, fake currency, and drugs in the border areas of J&K and Punjab, police said.

Pakistani drone movements have become a challenge for security forces since June 2021, when, in a first-of-its-kind terror attack in the country, drones airdropped two explosive devices on Indian Air Force station in Jammu.
