of Madhya Pradesh tells a story of
resilience
and transformation. More than 1000 students from 15 villages aspire for a brighter future, yet many face the stark reality of dropping out after Class 8, grappling with challenges like
language barriers
, limited access to technology, and mathematical intricacies.
Notably, Madhya Pradesh has historically faced challenges with high
dropout
rates, particularly after Class 8. Economic factors, the need for child labor, and limited access to quality education in remote areas contribute to students discontinuing their studies at an early stage.
Insufficient resources, coupled with a scarcity of qualified teachers, create an educational void that disproportionately affects students in higher classes.
While these obstacles paint a challenging panorama, the dedication of organizations, working alongside the community, signifies a glimmer of hope.
Sanjay Nagar, founder of the Kohka Foundation, is a Mumbai-based chartered accountant. Supported by the local community, the foundation addresses various hurdles faced by the residents, ranging from education to women's welfare and rural employability.
Today, they have also enrolled more than 50 female students from Seoni's government colleges in their Tailoring Course championing the way for female empowerment.
Sanjay Nagar said, “This isn't just about computers or classrooms; it's about opening doors to a world of opportunity. The uneducated and rural Indian has spent years being stuck in the same cycle - this is what we want to break.”
