Boy on scooter injured in Queens hit-and-run, suspect sought: NYPD

ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a driver after a 14-year-old boy on a scooter was hit by a car on May 1.

The incident happened around 5:27 p.m. near 50th Avenue and 94th Street.

A gray Sedan struck the boy and left the scene heading westbound, police say. The NYPD released surveillance video capturing the moment right before the teen was struck.

The boy sustained minor leg injuries and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
