A 40-year-old
BJP worker
who served as booth agent in the
Burdwan-Durgapur
Lok Sabha poll was
found dead
on Thursday in West Bengal's East Burdwan district. Abhijit Roy was threatened before the May 13 poll, alleged BJP district chief Abhijit Tah. Along with party workers, Tah demanded their immediate arrest. While Roy's father said his son had died by suicide following "regular quarrels with his wife", Tah claimed
TMC
was responsible for the death.
"His wife will file a complaint alleging murder," stated Dilip Ghosh, BJP's Burdwan-Durgapur candidate.
TMC district chief Rabi Chatterjee denied the allegations and called it an unfortunate incident.
