Biker, auto driver injured in early morning mishap

THANE: A

biker

and an auto-rickshaw driver were

injured

after their vehicles collided head-on in the city, early Tuesday, civic officials informed.
The incident occurred around 4.30 am on the arterial Gokhale Road when the 25-year-old biker was on his way towards Thane railway station when his bike that was apparently riding on the wrong lane collided with the auto, informed Yasin Tadvi, in-charge at the Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell.

The biker suffered serious head injuries while the

auto driver

also got injured in the incident. Passersby alerted the rescue teams who rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital and removed the mangled vehicles from the roadside.
