's personal secretary Bibhav Kumar a few days ago. In the statement she gave police, Maliwal claimed she had been “brutally assaulted, repeatedly” by Kumar.
The MP claimed that Kumar slapped her multiple times and hit her on the chest and stomach at the CM’s residence on Monday, revealed a police source.
The FIR, registered at the Civil Lines police station, does not name Kejriwal, an officer confirmed. Kumar has been named in the FIR.
'Slapped, hit her on stomach, kicked'
Swati Maliwal has alleged in the FIR that she was "slapped, hit on stomach and kicked" by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's former personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar.
According to the police FIR, Swati Maliwal in her complaint mentioned that she was slapped, hit on stomach, attacked and kicked by Bibhav Kumar at the Chief Minister's residence.
The FIR has been registered under sections 354, 506, 509, and 323 of the IPC, among other sections, for offences including assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty, criminal intimidation, word gesture or acts of intent to insult and assault.
'Kejriwal should apologise on issue', says BJP
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday demanded Arvind Kejriwal to issue a statement on AAP Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case and apologise. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman while addressing the press conference at the BJP headquarters condemned Kejriwal's silence on the issue, labeling it 'unbelievable and unacceptable.'
"Since May 13, not a single word has been uttered by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal over the attack on his party MP Swati Maliwal. It is totally unbelievable and unacceptable... Our entire party and personally are deeply saddened and concerned about the whole incident," Sitharaman said. "I demand Delhi CM Kejriwal speak on Maliwal issue and apologise," the BJP leader added.
Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar fails to appear before NCW
Meanwhile, Bibhav Kumar failed to appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW).
The NCW had summoned Kumar to appear before it at 11 am.
NCW chief Rekha Sharma said a team of the commission had gone to Kumar's residence on Thursday to serve him a notice but he was not home.

Maliwal broke her silence on the incident and said "the last few days have been very difficult". This was her first public reaction after the alleged assault on her on May 13.
Maliwal on Thursday wrote on X, "What happened to me was very bad. I have given my statement to the police on the incident that happened to me. I hope that appropriate action will be taken." She also mentioned that the last few days have been very difficult for her. "The last few days have been very difficult for me. I thank those who prayed for me. Those who tried to do character assassination said that she was doing it on the instructions of the other party, may God keep them happy too. An important election is going on in the country, Swati Maliwal is not important, the issues of the country are important,” she added. In a "special request", the AAP MP asked the BJP not to politicise the incident. "There is a special request to BJP people to not do politics on this incident," she wrote.
